So you want me to train your dog - how will we go about it?   Firstly forget everything you may have learned from anywhere else, books, videos etc.  My training is not reward based e.g. toffees, titbits etc. and there are no gimmicks and no tricks.  My training method is using the voice and associations, encouraging the dog and making the training into a game.  Being consistent in everything you do is extremely important as dogs are creatures of habit.  Teaching them good habits needs more thought than teaching them bad ones.

How much time is needed?   Well, training a dog is like learning, for instance, The Highway Code - to retain knowledge you need little and often and between lessons,  fifteen minutes a day is all that is needed.  If I am training the dog in-house then I will do short sessions several times a day.

You need to decide if you wish to have lessons or to leave the dog for me to train.  We will decide this together at the assessment which is given with no obligation prior to training commencing.
